Jack Mitchell has had a career that has spanned over fifty years and has seen him rise through the ranks of the Coles Myer organisation from a floor walker in the original Coles stores to the role of General Manager, Merchandise & Logistics KMart New Zealand, where he took on the added accountabilities of Marketing & Promotions in early 1993. Jack held the position of company director, Kmart New Zealand Ltd from 1992 to 1994.
Upon his retirement from KMart, Jack was contracted to Trollope, Silverwood & Beck to develop export opportunities for shop fittings/shelving systems for 2 years from 1995 to 1997 involving regular market development related travel to SE Asia.
Jack has been involved in the Not-For-Profit Sector for more than fifteen years as a director of Waverley Industries, during which time the organisation became a significant manufacturer's value adding business as well as holding contracts with municipal councils providing and managing recycling programmes.
An excellent Retail and Not-For-Profit strategist and technician, over the last 8 years Jack has worked with several internationally based companies that have been involved in International Development activities aided by the Australian Government.
Jack is involved in project work for the Cardinia Shire (Outer Eastern Melbourne) with their Economic Development Unit.
Jack works with Nesso providing specialist retail business and strategic skills.
